I am so pleased to be a part of this year’s Itch to Stitch blog tour and to be able to join so many accomplished sewers as we showcase Itch to Stitch patterns! At the end of this post is a Rafflecopter link where you can be entered for great prizes, a list of all the wonderful bloggers featured in the 2018 tour and a list of all the great sponsors (both of the list have direct links – to go to a blogger or sponsor just click)!
For the tour, I put together a mini 3 piece capsule using 3 Itch to Stitch patterns: the Mountain View Pull Ons, the Uvita top and the Hepburn turtleneck. I would rate all three of these patterns as beginner/advanced beginner friendly, especially with Kennis’ detailed instructions and graphics.
For my Mountain Views I used a stretch denim from Pacific Blues Denim. You simply will not find a larger selection of denim anywhere. I have made several purchases from PBD and can highly recommend. They have great customer service and high quality denims as well as other fabrics such as shirting and wool!
The Mountain Views are a pretty quick sew even considering all the lovely top stitching!
They have a faux fly and elastic waist. Many times an elastic waist can ruin a good pair of pants but in this case the finished garment is quite stylish and extremely comfortable to wear without the constraint of a regular jean waistband. My waistband is sewn with a black stretch denim.
My Hepburn turtleneck was sewn using this lovely cactus flower cotton spandex fabric from Mabel Madison (one of the generous tour sponsors!). I absolutely adore this fabric and it made the cutest turtleneck. I was delighted with how well the silver cacti matched my silver jeans!
Mabel Madison is offering a discount during the ITS tour: $10 off a $50 order with the code ITSTOUR through September 30th!
Finally, using bits and pieces from my stash I put together a Uvita. The Uvita is a drop shoulder knit top with 2 sleeve lengths. I sewed the 3/4 length sleeve. The Uvita is FREE! This is a great pattern to try if you are new to ITS patterns.
I am a long time fan of ITS patterns as they are well drafted and rarely require alterations. Kennis develops great styles and gives lots of support if needed. She has an active fb page where you can see more of her designs on people!
During the tour, ITS is offering blog tour highlighted patterns on sale, no code needed. Just click on the link to the pattern! Today only the Mountain Views are $8.
An added bonus to being a part of the tour is I now have a nice fall transitional outfit. September transitions (#septembertransitions) is the monthly theme on the Sew Along and Sewing Contest fb page. To join our group of lovely sewers and to be a part of our monthly themes, click here.
Your combination of Hepburn Turtleneck with Mountain View Pull On Jeans give you a beautiful hourglass shape! You look great!

Love your pocket detailing. I’m always so lazy when it comes to styling my pockets and always regret it.

I love how you combined both patterns. And I’m so partial to florals!!! I love floral fabric so much, but I have no real choice here in France (so saaad!). Great job with the pocket design too.

Oh Judy, your Mountain Views are absolutely stunning. Those pockets! I’ve made several versions of this pattern and love it, but like yours best. Your floral hepburn is also great and now I might have to have one of those as well!
